Crafton Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (“Crafton”) has been selected for the 2026 Aichi Deeptech Launchpad, with R&D funding. With this funding, Crafton will advance its proprietary PureCap® mRNA technology, which enables the body to continuously produce antibodies and addresses key limitations of conventional antibody therapeutics such as frequent or high‑dose administration. Through this project, Crafton aims to generate PoC data demonstrating antibody induction, efficacy, durability, and safety.

Aichi Deeptech Launchpad’s Acceleration Program is a government-backed initiative by Aichi Prefecture to support deep‑tech startups emerging from universities and research institutions. The program provides intensive mentoring, business and technical support, and access to a broad expert network. Selected companies can also receive up to 40 million yen in R&D funding, helping them advance technology validation, product development, and market entry. Overall, it aims to accelerate the social implementation of breakthrough technologies and strengthen the region’s innovation ecosystem.

Crafton Biotechnology is an mRNA biotechnology company developing novel therapeutics through proprietary RNA production, delivery, and synthesis technologies. The company is focused on addressing key bottlenecks in mRNA medicine, including impurity-driven innate immune activation, manufacturing complexity, delivery limitations, and the need for improved therapeutic performance in high-value clinical applications.
By combining high-purity mRNA production through PureCap®, application-specific delivery strategies, and advanced RNA synthesis technologies, Crafton aims to enable safer, more scalable, and more clinically translatable mRNA medicines.
